Malaysia Airlines is proud to announce that we have expanded our services at the Kuala Lumpur City Air Terminal in KL Sentral. This new terminal, which is in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, serves as a gateway to travellers in Malaysia.  

Passengers are required to check in no later than two hours before the scheduled time of their flights' departure.
For passengers WITHOUT check-in baggage the LAST ACCEPTANCE is no later than 90 minutes before the STD.

Advance Check-in:
All domestic passengers may check in up to TWELVE HOURS before the scheduled departure time of their flight.

International passengers (with the exception of Cape Town, Fukuoka, Johannesburg and Nagoya) may check in up to TWELVE HOURS before the scheduled time of departure of same calendar date.

Exception: Special advance check-in is permissible for flight departure between midnight and 2am of the next calendar date. (you MUST check in no later than 2 hours before your flight, and before our check-in counter closes at 2330hr)

Return Check-in:
Passengers travelling within Malaysia departing from XKL may avail themselves to the return check-in facility. To qualify, the following conditions must be met:

• Departure and return flights must be on the same calendar day The return flight must be confirmed and ticketed
• There are no baggage to be accepted for both departure and return flights

One Shot Through Check-in (OSTCI):
This facility is extended to passengers with confirmed reservations to destinations, which involve transfers at Malaysian airports within Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak.
For OSTCI, the following conditions apply:

• Onward connecting flights must be confirmed
• Confirmed flight must be within 6 hours of connection between the two flights on the same calendar day
